TLDR: without coffee, horses, wine, good friends, and a huge sense of humor; life is a lot harder than necessary.

Hi, I’m Una

I’m an amateur horse lover/equestrian (and if we’re being honest, an amateur adult 🤣). I’ve ridden nearly my whole life, but didn’t own my own horse until adulthood.

Early on

In my younger days I competed Hunter Jumpers, but for the last 10+ years have been a Dressage convert on my rescued horse, Fritz (sometimes lovingly referred to as *On the Fritz* because, well, he lives up to that on occasion). We’ve done Intro A through Prix St. George together, and everything in between.

Current

In 2018 everything changed and I was in a life altering car accident, only a week after the in utero foal I had purchased to be my next Dressage mount was born. I’m left permanently partially disabled (I don’t have the leg function or strength I used to, and my right leg is now shorter as well). And what this entire ordeal has helped me understand is that #1 if you want something, nothing will stand in your way, and #2 without coffee, horses, wine, good friends, and a huge sense of humor; life is a lot harder than necessary.

So this blog is to follow my journey with my horses, help others in their journey, share some laughs, share helpful tips, share ridiculous memes, and really anything else I feel like throwing at you. I’m so excited to have you along for the ride, and hope you enjoy following along!
